It is official... the World is at last reopen again to tourists, and in a timely manner before the monkeypox 🙈 pandemic takes hold, we are finally heading on sabbatical after what seems like 5 years in planning.
On the 6th of July 2022 we board our first of many flights from London's Heathrow, beginning our 4-month adventure across Central and South America, which will take us through 8 different countries and differing climates, from our starting point via Mexico to the southern tip of Argentina.
Our initial destination is Belize City, from where we will spend our first few days on the "go slow" Caribbean Island of Caye Caulker - just in time to catch the fleeting end of the annual Lobster festival (not a bad compromise to having to once again miss London’s Chicken Wing Festival). From here we will then travel inland in the direction of Guatemala, via San Ignacio, and in the direction of the Mayan ruins in the ancient city Tikal.

We intend to use this platform primarily as a place to update friends and family with progress on our travel's - so expect plenty of bathroom selfies, shower beer recommendations, and pictures of recently adopted stray dogs and cats – however, we will also try to offer some insight into some of the incredible, and not so incredible places we discover on our adventure.
